Just finished bedding in my new brake pads and the rear wheel flew off the car. Suspension is messed up, rotors are messed up, there’s a crack in the trunk floor, and the quarter panel is really screwed.

Always been suspicious of wheel spacers. Good news is nothing is beyond repair and no one has been hurt. How did the wheel that came off fare?

Ouch! That truly sucks. But luckily the car did stay on its (three) wheels. That could have been very painful for you too. My friends’ endurance racing Ford Escort lost its rear wheel in a fast corner and it made the car roll violently several times.
